How Pals works
Pals launches coins on Stonk fun whose creator fees are shared by a group of one to 9 X accounts, in shares the launcher picks. Every trade on Stonk fun pays a creator fee. Pals splits that fee exactly as set at launch and pays each account in dollars through X Money.
People you name don't need a wallet, an account with us, or to do anything at all to be paid.
How the split works
Every coin gets its own Pals fee wallet, and that wallet is set as the coin's creator when it launches on Stonk fun. Stonk fun sends the coin's creator fees there, and nowhere else. Pals then splits what arrives, in shares of basis points (1 bps = 0.01%):
SHARE TO 15% Pals treasury weight₁ × 85% of the rest escrow(@first) … weight₉ × 85% of the rest escrow(@ninth)
Each X account has its own escrow address, derived from its numeric X user ID. The same account gets the same escrow in every coin that names it, so its earnings are public on-chain. Because the ID is used and not the handle, a username change never sends money to someone else.
The shares are fixed at launch and written into the coin's description on Stonk fun. Neither the launcher nor Pals can change them afterwards. Pals only ever pays the addresses and shares recorded at launch.
Verify a split yourself
- On the coin's Pals page, open its fee wallet on Solscan. It's the
creatorof the coin's pool on Stonk fun (Raydium LaunchLab). - Every split is one transaction from that wallet, paying the treasury and each escrow. Compare the amounts with the shares on the coin page.
- Read the last lines of the coin's description on Stonk fun. They name the same handles with the same percentages.
Before every split, Pals checks the same things automatically: the pool still names the fee wallet as its creator, the treasury is ours, and every escrow belongs to its X account. If anything doesn't match, nothing is paid.
Where fees come from
Trades on Stonk fun pay a trading fee, and Stonk fun sends the coin creator's share of it (about half of Stonk fun's 1% fee) to the coin's Pals fee wallet, both before and after the coin graduates. Pals checks every coin's fee wallet every few minutes and splits the fees once they pass 0.01 SOL, so network fees never eat small amounts. Nothing is lost by waiting.
Payouts
Balances are tracked per X account across every coin that names it. When an account's earnings cross a milestone ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, then every $1,000), its whole balance is converted to dollars and sent through X Money. Each payout is listed publicly with the splits it came from.
X Money is currently available to eligible US users. Balances for recipients who can't receive X Money yet are held for them.
Named in a coin?
Anyone can name any X account in a circle. Being named doesn't mean you created or endorse the coin, and every coin's description says so. If you're named, you'll be paid your share without doing anything.
What can go wrong
- Stonk fun sends the fees. The creator share is paid out by Stonk fun, not enforced by a program, and Stonk fun decides its size. If it ever stops sending a coin's fees, there is nothing for Pals to split, and the coin page says so.
- Pals does the split. Splits are made by Pals, not by an on-chain program, which is why every one is a public transaction you can check against the coin page.
- X Money availability. Payouts depend on X Money. If it pauses payouts, balances keep accruing safely on-chain and in our ledger until it resumes.
- Coin value. Creator fees depend on trading volume. A coin nobody trades earns nothing. Pals doesn't promote or price coins.
